Dear WWNG Members,

I recently attended one of the Seasoned Self Retreat Sessions at Lauvitel Lodge.   For anyone out there that is considering going but is still “on the fence” I want to be the first one to encourage you to jump to the other side!

Upon arrival, the setting and scenery alone will make you forget any ounce of hesitation you may have had about taking a full day off for yourself.

Lauvitel Lodge is situated in the most breath-taking valley with a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains. Granted, most of us already have pretty spectacular view of the Alps living in and around Grenoble, but this is different. It’s getting up close and intimate with the forest, mountains, and nearby lake and rivers. You can’t take a single look around you without a jaw dropping view.

Dedicating a full day to getting out of your regular routine and placing yourself in the midst of nature of this kind is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves in my opinion.

As part of the Seasoned Self workshop series, Naida Culshaw and Caroline Purkhardt have planned a full day retreat providing a safe and comfortable environment for reconnecting with nature and most importantly, yourself. Together they have created a day of self-discovery, walking right along with you with their full attention, wisdom, and nurturing humor. It was evident that the schedule of the workshop was created with the utmost thought and care.

Being with Naida and Caroline in such a magnificent environment, time stood still. I find that it’s difficult to create that dedicated time and space on my own and especially in my regular day to day environment. There, I was finally able to give myself the full attention I’d been craving for such a long time.

Having Naida and Caroline there to provide support and guidance while being surrounded by nature provided the perfect atmosphere to slow down and, as I’m sure you’ve heard Caroline say before, to “find stillness”.  Time moves more slowly there. A day feels much longer. It’s surreal and nurturing and everything I imagined a well-being retreat would be.

The next Seasoned Self Workshop is at Lauvitel Lodge on Saturday, July 23rd and I would attend another one in a heartbeat. Sadly, I will be out of town. But I want to tell you from the deepest part of my being that if you’re thinking about going, hop off that fence and GO. It’s a very special and fulfilling experience.

Happy Summer to everyone!
